  • Now is a great time to be a mom because of the abundance of brilliant products that make our lives as parents easier. Just take a look at these baby products that offer innovative solutions to everyday parenting woes.

Problem #1: You want to use disposable diapers, but you don't want to add to the waste crisis.

Conventional disposable baby diapers are made up of materials that are harmful to the environment. Moreover, they take 500 years to fully decompose.

Solution: Biodegradable diapers are a convenient way to handle pee and poop without damaging the environment.

Actress Andi Eigenmann, who is an advocate of green living, said in one of her Instagram Stories that she only uses biodegradable diapers for daughter Lilo, 5 months old.

"The diapers I use for my newborn are biodegradable ones — Pampers Pure (they don't sell in the Ph, I pre-ordered a bunch off of Amazon) [and] Seventh Generation [diapers] (I got mine at Rustan's baby section).

Problem #2: Baby has bad colds.

With our ever-changing weather in the Philippines, babies can be prone to sniffles that may cause stuffy nose. However, over-the-counter remedies may be too strong for baby.

Solution: An organic decongestant will help relieve colds quickly.

Actress Chynna Ortaleza only wants to use gentle products for her youngest, 3-month-old Salem. When Nukie (his nickname) recently suffered from nasal congestion, the mom of two turned to this green natural solution.

"May congestion si Nukie! So I decided to try this Organic Onion Sticker to help relieve his sniffles. Happy ako kasi this also helps the whole family! You can even put it on the aircon vent to help with your allergies."

You can get Organic Onion Stickers at Mamanestph on Instagram.

Problem #3: You're afraid you'll hurt baby when you cut her nails.

Cutting off a newborn's very delicate nails can be daunting, especially if you're a first-time parent (not to mention, if you're visually challenged). What if you accidentally cut your newborn?

Solution: A nail clipper specifically designed for little hands and feet

New mom Solenn Heussaff, who gave birth on January 1, 2020 to daughter Thylane Katana, feels relieved that she can accomplish this task worry-free using the Nailsnail 3-in-1 baby nail trimmer tool and the Babygoal nail filer.

"Not as scary as I thought. Cut and filed her nails when she was asleep. Happy there are things like this out there!"

Problem #4: Your pediatrician discouraged you from getting a baby walker.

Baby walkers are commonly used to train babies who are starting to crawl and walk. However, health professionals discourage their use for several reasons, including the fact that babies "learn to walk in part by watching and understanding how their feet and legs move" — something a baby cannot do with a walker that has a tray blocking his view.

Solution: A toy that doubles as a walking trainer

Mom of two Miriam Quiambao proudly shared a video of 10-month-old son Elijah taking his first steps with the use of the Walker Wagon, a "tool that helps babies learn how to balance and start taking [his] first steps safely," reads an entry on its distributor's Instagram account.

A Walker Wagon is different from a conventional walker in that "the Walker Wagon has adjustable brakes so it only moves when baby pushes it. It also has the correct weight to support a child’s full weight without tipping over. Professionally designed, everything on this material is carefully thought of so it’s safe for young children to use."

The Walker Wagon is available via the happystoryco Instagram account.
