This Modern Maternity Bed Lets Moms Stay Close To Their Babies Right After Birth! Is this something you would want to see in Pinoy hospitals too?by Kate Borbon .
Right after giving birth, all moms want is to hold and stare at their babies in their arms. However, babies have to be taken to a separate bed for them to sleep in, and as Parents notes, this can be “a tough thing to reconcile because mother/child separation anxiety is very real in those first few days.”
It’s because of this that a photo posted by an Australian pregnancy website called BellyBelly is garnering so much fascination among mothers. The photo depicts a mom lying on a maternity bed with a little bassinet attached directly to it. Aside from its modern and thoughtful design, this maternity bed’s most notable advantage is that it allows moms to stay close to their little ones right after birth. As BellyBelly points out, this bed can be a wonderful solution for all mothers, especially those who have had C-sections and are unable to get out of bed.
“Would you like to see beds like this in all maternity hospitals?” BellyBelly wrote. “What a great help for C-section mammas too, but most of all, keeping ALL mothers close to their babies after birth!”
