Each person is born with his own set of skills and talent. Whether that blossoms or remains untapped depends on a lot of factors, but the one with the most impact, especially for young kids, is the guidance of a parent.
"Ive always been fascinated with books," Nina, mom to 7-year-old Jade Evangelista, says. At a young age, Jade draws and tries her hand at creating simple animations. "But I'm not anti-screen either," the mom of one clarifies, adding that Jade is a digital native.
Nina says she and her husband Jeffrey fueled their little girl's interest by making resources available at all times. "We would see her using shapes and working out scenes from shows, [so we] allowed her to use apps that are appropriate for her level of learning."
