Distance learning, also called distance education, is a form of education where the students can complete the course without being physically present in a classroom. The course materials are typically delivered digitally through online classes or through live conferencing.

Distance education programs do not usually involve daily virtual classes held on video conferencing apps. A teacher will check a child's progress and be available for consultation.
