WATCH: Dad And Son Adorably Dance To Frozen's Let It Go In Matching DressesThe dad says Elsa is his son's superhero.by Emily Mullen .
If your son says he wants to wear a dress and dance along to Frozen’s soundtrack, what would you do? One dad from Norway didn’t think twice about giving his son permission. In fact, he also joined the fun!
While mom was away, Dexter and his dad decided to dance along to Let It Go (the hit song from Disney’s Frozen) at their home — in a pretty unique way.
The viral video, uploaded to Facebook on January 20, 2019, shows the four-year-old and his dad, comedian Orjan Buroe, twirling about in matching ‘Elsa’ costumes as they listen to the iconic song.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Speaking to the Huffington Post, Buroe described the significance of this dance to his son. “For my son, Elsa is a hero. Superheroes come in many forms and children do not yet distinguish between men, women, blacks and whites. We have a lot to learn from them,” he said.
Dexter and his dad’s moves have proven to be viral gold, with the video hitting more than 103 million views by the time of writing.
In the comments section, many praised Buroe for being a great role model to his son.
“You’re rocking that dress Dad, keep up the good work, your son will grow up to be a great man, just like his dad,” one person wrote.
“Absolutely love this. Fathering at its very best! I see nothing but love and happiness in this video,” another said.
“That’s a dad who loves his child! ANYTHING to make them smile and have a great day,” read one comment.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Of course, there were also those who disapproved of Buroe’s choice to dress up as a female, but it was quickly overpowered by other comments who defended the comedian.
One person wrote, “I would think that a father fully engaging with his child to the point of dressing up as a favorite female character and dancing with his child because it makes them happy is one of the best examples of masculinity I’ve ever seen; he’s too busy being dad to worry how he looks to anyone besides his kid.”
Sometimes you just have to “let go” and show your kids they can be whatever they want to be. You go, dad!
