All of us who grew up with an older sibling know that the biggest bullies are our brothers or sisters. It's true! Being older and bigger puts them in a place of authority, and they definitely know how to take advantage of it. Whether it's running an errand or finishing a chore, it's quite typical of a Kuya or Ate to try to one-up their younger siblings all the time.
In the amusing children's storybook Hating Kapatid, Raissa Rivera Falgui tells a smilar tale of two siblings. Through beautiful illustrations by Fran Alvarez, Raissa uses ants as her main characters and talks about the idea of fairness and sharing between brothers and sisters. In the end, the book teaches a valuable lesson appropriate for kids ages 6 years old and up.
