Pauleen Luna recently shared a video showing how much of a daddy's girl her daughter Talitha "Tali" Sotto is.
In a recently shared video, Pauleen's attempt to make lambing was quickly shunned by Tali, who was seen beside her daddy Vic Sotto.

"Hi! Do you love mommy?" asked Pauleen, to which Tali responded with, "No, I want dad." The celebrity mom still tried to get a positive answer by asking Tali, "How about me?" or "How about mommy?" but to no avail. Awwe! There, there mommy Pauleen!
Vic empathized with his wife and told Tali to love both dad and mom, but at this point, Pauleen had already waved the white flag and told her husband, "Birthday mo naman, sige na nga." Vic celebrated his 68th birthday last April 28, 2022.
Pauleen can be heard jokingly growling at Tali by the end of the video, which the 4-year-old copied before letting out another "I want dad" remark.
Based on the video, Pauleen did not really take it seriously hearing her unija Hija preferred the dad more than her. Perhaps, she's used to it as she's already shared a number of posts before showing the close bond between Tali and Vic.
Take, for example, the time when Vic combs Tali's hair after a bath.
Or the time when Pauleen felt the "saling pusa" in the family selfie. LOL!
As early as 2020, Pauleen knew that her daughter was a "super daddy's girl." But she took pride in being a witness to it.
Pauleen is probably not alone as the parent who is not preferred by their kids, so it begs the question: What should you do when your children develop favoritism toward one parent?
What To Do When Child Has A Favorite Parent?
It's completely valid and reasonable to feel a pinch in your heart to hear or feel that your young child has a favorite parent, and it's not you.
But parenting educator and expert Michele Borba explains to Fatherly that this is actually part of your child's development. And most importantly, it's just a phase.

Borba explains that one of the reasons your child is playing favorite is that they are starting to understand and practice their own preferences and get a sense of independence. It's a sign of your child's emotional and cognitive growth.
Dr. Nia Heard-Garris echoes this and tells the New York Times that when a child chooses one parent over the other, it is a sign that "children are exploring decision-making."
And since they are in the process of discovering ways to assert themselves, it's also possible that your children's preferences will shift from time to time.

So what's the best approach when your child favors your partner more than you? First, let your child be. Again, keep in mind that it's part of their development and that they are not trying to deliberately hurt your feelings.
Never waver in showing your unconditional love and support despite the many times they make you feel unwanted. Instead of letting insecurity or jealousy get the best of you, consider it a perfect opportunity to get to know your child better.
Why does your child want to do certain activities with your partner instead of you? Why do they prefer to be carried and soothed by their father more? Then try to adapt and be on the same page with the other parent.
Lastly, like Bossing Vic, if you're the favorite parent, make an effort not to further alienate your partner. While it's tempting, try not to hoard your child's affection. Remember that parenting is teamwork.
