15 Comic Illustrations That Perfectly Describe What It's Like to be a Parent

Parenting is a universal experience. Wherever you are in the world, some aspects of parenting always stay the same. That’s why Argentinean mom and freelance illustrator Natalia Sabransky’s comics are still so spot-on even if her first language isn't English. 

She calls her comics “Mamá Ilustrada” or “Illustrated Mom” and she draws about her everyday experience of being a mom to her 2-year-old son Santiago. Her husband Gaston pops up from time to time in her comics too. 

Her humorous and light-hearted comics cover everything from newborn care confusion, asking help from grandma, unsolicited parenting advice, the many chores of a parent and so much more. You’ll be sure to giggle in delight. 

Her comics, found on her website Mamailustrada.revistabb.cl and on its corresponding social media pages on Facebook and Instagram, originally have Spanish texts. Lucky for us she sent English translations of her work to Bored Panda.

She told the viral news website that through her comics she wants other parents to know that they’re not alone and “that there are others who've had similar experiences.”
