The Miss Universe pageant has never been just about physical beauty. If you do a quick background check on each candidate, you'll find out they have university degrees under their belts or well-established careers. There's a lot of life lessons to be gleaned from these women, and no one embodies it more than the crowned Miss Universe winner, Iris Mittenaere, of France. Her answer about the times she has failed in her life showed her perseverance and resolve.
