The Idea: I have a passion for cooking and baking. Ever since I was young, I’ve enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, watching my grandmother cook sumptuous meals for the family. I chose the name Princess Star Food Delights because the first two names are what I consider my daughters: Little Princess for my eldest daughter Lana and Little Star for my youngest daughter Gabby.

 

On Her Inspiration: My eldest daughter helps me come up with designs for my cakes and cupcakes. At a young age, she already exhibits her artistic side and she often draws her designs for me. So far all my clients have appreciated that! When it comes to the taste of my products, my number one critics are my daughters. Since I cater mostly to children’s parties, the comments my girls give me are the ones that matter the most.

 

What Makes it Unique: I never repeat a design for my cakes. I make sure each design is different even if clients have the same theme. Everyone who orders cakes from me has the assurance that what they are getting is really personalized. All our products are also baked fresh using top-grade ingredients and all edible toppers are hand-made with love.

Why She Loves Being a Mom: Despite the stress and the trials I encounter being a single parent, the sweet smiles and hugs my daughters give me just make it all better. In addition, the positive comments I hear from other people on how I raise my children adds to the assurance that I am at my best as a parent.

 

On Balancing Work with Family Time: Despite my busy schedule with my office work and home bakeshop, I make sure that I have quantity and quality time with my girls. My rest days are spent with them. Our bonding moments are mostly spent in the kitchen as they help me prepare toppers and bake orders. Grocery day and household chores are bonding moments for us, too. As early as now, I teach them how to do small chores at home and the value of always helping each other out no matter how big or small the task is.

 

Advice for Aspiring Mompreneurs: Always put God at the center of everything you do. Moreover, take baby steps so you can achieve your goal. Start out small and persevere in making those baby steps into big bold steps.
