Why She Loves Being a Mom: I relish the fact that you are raising a child to be the best person that he or she can be. It’s a daunting task but nothing true love can’t conquer. That’s why children are the best gifts a mother can have. They bring out all the love, tolerance, and tenderness you think you are not capable of.

The Idea: I’ve been a waxing advocate ever since I discovered it. It just seemed natural for a balbon person like me to explore other alternatives to shaving or plucking. I searched for salons offering waxing services until I discovered Lay Bare Waxing Salon in 2006. I became a loyal client and applied for a franchise in June 2008. The Congressional Ave. branch opened in 8 August 2008!

What Makes it Unique: It’s the first ever unwanted hair removal specialist in the Philippines and it uses cold sugar wax, a great substitute to hot wax since you spare yourself from accidental burns and the pain brought about by the sudden stripping off hair from the skin. Our cold sugar wax is applied section by section and the wax is gently pulled off as close to the skin as possible, making the pain more bearable and less traumatic. With continued waxing, you can expect hair re-growth to be finer, sparser and your skin lighter and smoother. It’s definitely the best alternative to shaving!

Aim for financial independence. Engaging in business allows you to expand your income while giving you the liberty to have control over your time and resources. Remember, having a family and a job is okay. Nurture yourself, get regular exercise, listen to music, and spend quality time with family—this is my foremost stress reliever.
