These IDs Do Not Have Encoding Errors. Meet The Alphabet Siblings!

  • Parents have different and very varied reasons for baby names. It will always mean something but doesn't get revealed often. However, for anyone who encounters any of the three Reynado siblings, you HAVE to ask what's the story behind their names.

You see, the eldest's name is Abcde. It is pronounced as "Ab-si-dy," but she is used to people calling her as you would say the first five letters of the alphabet, a-b-c-d-e. (On Facebook, she lets people call her Abby.)

Her sister, Xyza, and brother, Ghij, are used to having their names spelled out, too, when they are called.

Judging from the amusement on their faces when they recall people's first reactions ("Unang reaction is nagkamali ba ng encode? Joke ba ito?"), they don't get surprised much anymore.

Their unique names came from their father, Florian, who swore he asked for wife Rita's permission to do so (Rita was okay with the idea.) According to Abcde, their father had a simple reason for their names: "Ayaw niya na magkaroon kami ng kapangalan."

Having a name that was unlike any other is always a parent's wish, of course. But if you know the Reynado patriarch's background, you understand sort of why he REALLY wanted his three kids' names to be as distinctive as possible.

In the video, Florian said the kids are proud of their names and have not experienced bullying because of it. Then he also added about people's reactions and comments, "Can't afford din sila na kantswan ako...biro lang!"

Watch the video to know why netizens may want to think twice about taunting these kids for their names. (But we believe the three can handle the teasing!)
