  • Motherhood is a joyful journey, but it is not without its struggles. Moms always want to be sure that their children are growing up healthy and happy, so they find themselves stressing over every little detail regarding their kids. This struggle is real for celebrity moms, too, as host and blogger Bianca Gonzalez-Intal shared on Instagram on April 2, 2019.

Bianca regularly updates her Instagram followers with posts about her journey as a mother to Lucia, 3, and Carmen, 5 months. The posts, called #mommydiaries, not only document her kids’ growth but even her relatable struggles with motherhood, such as having to carry more than one bag while out at work and sometimes not being able to handle stress well.

In her latest #mommydiaries post, Bianca began by sharing a heartwarming experience with her first daughter, Lucia. “Three is such a fun age. The other day, we went to the big park to play around as usual. She had so much fun that she embraced me out of the blue and said, ‘I love you, mommy!’”

She continued, “The next day, we were playing at home, and Lucia got her colorful blocks and said, ‘Mommy, let’s build a big park!’ (Can you spot the trees, slide, seesaw, bridge, tunnel that she built?)” You will see Lucia’s creations in the second photo included in the post.

“It is such a wonderful age of lambing and learning.”

Bianca then opened up about her worries now that Lucia is growing up so fast. “As a working mom, I also can’t help but have so many questions in my head about how crucial this age is,” Bianca shared. “I know there are times I won’t be there to physically to look after her, and in the days, weeks, months to come, how can I make sure she is growing up well?

“Like...is she learning at the right pace for her age? Is there anything I can do to help her keep up with school activities and hit those developmental milestones? How can I help her make sure that even if her classmate has sipon or ubo, she won’t easily get sick, too? Or how can I help her stay healthy so that even on days na ayaw niya kumain masyado, I know she’ll still be okay?”

Bianca finished her post by asking her followers for advice. “Would love to know how possibly millions of moms, who feel the same way, deal with these questions or days that you worry like this?”

Her followers shared their nuggets of wisdom, assuring Bianca that she doesn’t need to worry too much.

“Just let her experience at her pace and just be there to guide her,” one user said. “Enjoy the journey [and] the ups and downs.”

Another follower commented, “You are doing a good job even at your busiest! Motherhood is a continuous process of learning.”

“Take it easy, just treasure every moment you spend with them…never ask or question, because for all trials and ‘buhay nanay’ [dilemmas], your love will be enough and in the end, it will be all worth it,” said one user.

Other followers shared their real-life stories. One user, who is a mom of three, wrote, “I may not have been perfect or the best, [but] I know I still did it well.” She further shared, “Motherhood is both ‘Am I doing this right?’ and ‘Yes, I can do this!’ So rest [your] worried heart, my dear. You are on the right track.”

One working mom shared going through days when she felt guilty over not being able to care for her child the whole day. “There will always be things that are beyond our control, and all we can do is to pray that they will be safe and sound especially for the times that we cannot be by their side,” she said.

“Enjoy mommahood! Literally, their childhood flies too fast. But the good thing is we make sure that they have a happy childhood and nourish them with all the love that we can give.”

Another mom wrote, “I am a first-time mom and highest level and pagiging paranoid over so many things. But I realized overthinking would not help us moms. Overthinking would lead to stress and sometimes hindi ka na nag-eenjoy being with your kids.

“For as long as you’re doing your best as a mom and enjoying every moment, you are doing a great job, mommy!”

How are you keeping calm over your worries, mom?
