Many private schools have started classes, and many kids, especially younger children, are certainly adjusting to the new normal. Gladys Reyes couldn't help raise what every other parent feels.
Gusto ko maiyak," Gladys expressed on Instagram. "Hirap pala ng online class for younger kids, need to assist them, e pano Kung di rin [techie] and parents?" the mom of four wrote.
Her hugot was accompanied by two photos of her second son, Grant, 8, in front of a laptop. It was his first day of online school, and his face clearly shows he's having a difficult time.
Many kids are excited to be back in school and see their friends, albeit just on a screen. But every new beginning has its own hiccups. Gladys hoped that the kids could adjust to the new education set up as quickly as the parents can.

Thankfully, Grant did. On his second day in an online school, Gladys so could already manage a smile. "Kids are really amazing, thank God, Grant is such a fast learner!" the mom of four added.
Gladys is also thankful that her older kids, Christoph, 14, and Aquisha, 12, can already manage online classes all by themselves. She also included in her hashtags, "Patience is a virtue."
It's not just the children or the parents adjusting to the new learning normal. Gladys gave a gratitude shout-out to the educators who are also navigating a new teaching platform while dealing with them.
And they are not alone. Many parents feel like they're also enrolled in school or feel sad about the lack of peer interaction in children. But for now, it's for their own safety, and we all have to make the most of online learning.
"Mommies and Daddies, we can do this! Anything for our kids, we can survive with flying colors!" Gladys assured moms.
