In a recent Tweet, Jake Ejercito waxed nostalgic when he posted what looked like an old photo of his dinner date with Andi Eigenmann, with the actress holding up a knife and fork above a plate of food. Side by side this old photo was that of Ellie Eigenmann, this time in a date with her dad Jake, posing in the same way her mom did in the old photo.
In the caption, Jake wrote: “does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes?” The apt quote of course was pulled from a lyric of a song by One Direction titled, Night Changes, a current social media trend.

If anything, these photos give the public a glimpse of how both Jake and Andi have grown and left behind a “toxic” relationship in the past and patched things up all for the sake of co-parenting Ellie.
On Andi’s and Jake’s social media accounts, both celebrity parents never fail to share how they spend time with their beautiful Ellie.

It will be recalled that Jake and Andi were together for five years until they broke up in 2014. It hasn’t been smooth sailing since then as both engaged in a Twitter War, mostly shading each other about what kind of parent the other one was.
Once, in a Tweet on Father’s Day in 2019, Andi wrote: “Best part about being a single parent is that we get two days to feel special aside from our birthdays!! Happy father's day to us! Cheers!”
On exactly the same day, Jake also Tweeted: “Before you proclaim yourself to be a double parent, be sure you've done enough as a single parent.”

The rift only became more intense between the two when, in 2017, Jake filed for joint custody of Ellie. Well, it seems the two managed to work things out as Jake is seen spending quality time with Ellie on many occasions as seen in his social media posts in recent years.
Andi and Jake have become good examples of how to make co-parenting work even if they live separately and far from each other. Andi is now happy raising a family on the island of Siargao with her fiancé, surfer Philmar Alipayo.
Together with Philmar she is raising Ellie, along with their two other children Lilo and Koa. On Ellie’s 10th birthday, Jake flew all the way to Siargao to spend time with his daughter there and even got to meet Philmar, Lilo, and Koa.
Time heals all wounds as they say and, for Andi and Jake, deciding to leave a toxic past behind has proven to be in Ellie’s best interest.
