  • Summer is almost synonymous to some carefree time, with your child being able to pay more attention to extracurriculars—sports included. Participating in sports gives your child their much needed time to run around, get some sunshine, and sweat it out—a must for kids who want to stay healthy and instill the habit of exercising. 

    Learning sports also goes beyond moving the body about. It teaches your child how to work well with a team, how to be a good sport, and how practice makes progress—traits that they can take away with them and apply long after the summer classes are over. Here are a few sports programs your toddler can try out:

    Aqualogic’s AquaBabes, AquaTots, AquaKids, and AquaPals programs
    For ages:
    6 months – 14 years old 
    What to Expect: Aqualogic differs from other swim schools because they do not use floatation devices to teach their kids. Their non-traditional approach in teaching their students come through play, using age-appropriate toys while teaching the basics and skills of swimming. They also use the principles of Total Immersion™, which is stated to be the world’s leading authority in swimming instruction. They also have an AquaPals program, that teaches kids with Autism how to swim.

    Explorations’ Preschool Taekwondo Program

    What to Expect: Explorations is a progressive preschool, and one of their programs is Taekwondo. Kids do it for more than just staying fit, but getting into Taekwondo builds up their confidence, self-discipline, and concentration.

There are over 18 sports to choose from with 700 venues participating in the sports clinic, so there’s surely one that your children will love!
