Teresa Rufino, the mompreneur behind BabiestoToddlers.com, an online store featuring unique products for babies to toddlers, started her business for reasons similar to those of quite a few other online mompreneurs — because one, she is a mom who wants the best for her kids, Leandro and Pablo; and two, she wants to help her fellow moms by providing high quality, mom-recommended products through a convenient platform.
A journey that started with pregnancy
Teresa shares a little bit more of her journey in her own words:
“I had a difficult second pregnancy, which made it hard for me to move around. I would look at all these wonderful things being offered but unfortunately were not available in our market. Then I realized there was a need to bring in smart products that makes moms lives easier.
I decided (to build a business) online because we wanted to reach out to the breastfeeding mommies that have to feed on three-hour cycles, mommies with cesarean births, working mommies and mommies busy raising their families.”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
She and her mother actually co-own a manpower and janitorial company that Teresa used to run before she had kids.
“Both businesses are service oriented, so it had a lot in common with what I am doing in Babies to Toddlers operations-wise, but the bottomline is that we are providing a service that focuses on our customers’ needs,” Teresa says. “For now, I am focusing my time on raising my kids and Babies to Toddlers; we have an office but I am able to operate from home most of the time.CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
