Janella Salvador recently had her contract renewal signing with her network, ABS-CBN. As part of the program, her fellow celebrities and closest family and friends sent their messages of congratulations to the actress.
But if there's one message that stood out, it was none other than the short but sweet message of her three-year-old son, Jude Trevor.

Jude, who is Janella's child with actor Markus Paterson, said, "Hi, Mama! Congratulations, Mama! I'm proud of you! I love you. Bye!"
His message almost brought Janella to tears.
For Janella, who started her acting career at 12 years old and will be turning 26 this month, she feels very grateful to her home network, who stood by her and paved the way for her career to continue, even after her pregnancy.
"To be honest, it wasn't a smooth journey, especially when the pandemic hit. We both had reasons and possibilities to let each other go. With the shutdown and with me getting pregnant, the people around me were very scared for me," she said.
She continued, "And with some people believing that getting pregnant is career suicide and all of that, people around me were all nervous for me. I'm so thankful that we didn't let each other go. We're still here, I stood up for you and you stood up for me, and I'm very thankful for that."
The actress, who debuted in the hit teleserye, Be Careful With My Heart, said she is looking forward to a lot of things in store for her this year.

After their split in 2022, Janella maintains a good co-parenting relationship with Markus. The former couple show up together during important milestones like their child's birthdays and baptism.
Janella and Markus announced that they are already parents last January 2021.
