Megan Young Shares Breasfeeding Update
In a caption posted alongside her reel, Megan announced the end of her breastfeeding journey and expressed gratitude for the people who supported her throughout the process:
“My breastfeeding journey has come to an end 🫶🏻 I can’t believe that I am officially done with pumping,” she wrote. “Thank you to Fofo for always being there to support me when it got tough, to Celly and Beth for helping me wash my pump parts and for cheering me on, to all my momma friends for the guidance and for all the momma milk donors we had for Leon when my supply was low (love you guys you know who you are!!) and of course to my little one Leon who just happily drank the milk we gave him 😍”
She added, “Happy to celebrate this chapter as we move on to a new one - the world of baby-led weaning and solids 😅”
In the video, Megan explained how her feeding journey shifted over time.
“So, a little story time on why I decided to start weaning,” Megan said. “We already came to a point where Leon was drinking 90% breast milk and maybe in a day, just one bottle of formula.”
However, her milk supply changed after she got sick.
“But since I got dengue in November, my supply completely tanked,” she said. “I tried my best to really keep up with my pumps, but we started having work. We had our trip to Singapore, and even though I was very consistent with my pumps and with eating well, my supply just didn't go back to the way that it used to be.”
Megan openly shared how difficult the experience was emotionally, something many moms going through the same thing might relate to. She also spoke to her husband Mikael Daez about it.
“I got really frustrated and I was telling Fofo how I was having a hard time already,” she said. “I was also reminding myself that fed is best.”

She continued, “Actually, it was really hard because I felt some guilt that I would not be able to give enough nutrients to Leon, but I knew that for my own mental well-being and for me to get back into the groove of work, that this was what was best for us in our situation.”
Megan then shared a reassuring message for fellow moms.
“Mamas, you know yourselves better than anyone else,” Megan said. “You know what's best for you and your baby, so do what you have to do.”
She also showed several pumping sessions from the week. One produced 41 ml, and another later yielded 17 ml. By the end of the video, it was clear that her pumping journey had come to a close.
“I think it's safe to say we're done,” she said. “I don't think I'm gonna pump again. See you till the next baby. What a crazy ride this has been.”
Her update also drew support from followers. Host and mom of five Iya Villania left an encouraging comment: “Good job, meggy!!! You do what you gotta do!! Mama got be well in the head and not cray cray! 😂 We all are just doing our best and that’s the most important part ❤️”
