Actor JC de Vera and his wife Rikkah Cruz de Vera announced that they are pregnant with their second child!
In a video of their gender reveal announcement shared on Instagram on January 14, the dad of one wrote, "It's a girl!!!" He added the hashtags girl dad and girl power.
JC and the people on the video were ecstatic after the reveal, but his wife looked like she was expecting to have a boy!
Rikkah commented on JC's post, "Hehe my reaction."
JC and Nikkah tied the knot in 2018, and again on September 2021. Their daughter, Lana Athena, is turning five in April this year.
In a 2019 interview with PEP.ph, JC said, “Nag-quit na ako ng mga gimik, nag-quit na ako ng mga good time.
“Mas naka-focus na ako on my responsibility on being a father and being a good husband sa asawa ko.”
He added, “Most of the time, I spend it with my family. I cook for them, I take care of them, nilalabas ko sila, dinadala ko sila sa ibang lugar.
This is why his followers admire him for being family-first. One user even commented on his video, "[Ito] lang yung artista na alam ko na very family man, walang issue."

“Yung buong buhay ko ngayon, umiikot sa kanila. And lahat ng purpose ko ngayon sa buhay ay lahat dahil sa kanila," he said.

In an article by Pediatric Associates of Franklin, they highlighted the importance of a father's presence in his daughter's life. "Young girls depend on their fathers for security and emotional support. A father shows his daughter what a good relationship with a man is like."

- Send your daughter some flowers even when there's no occasion
- Treat your daughter to lunch, whether she's a toddler or a teen
- Write to your daughter, and tell her what you appreciate about her
