Mom Has Four Babies in 11 Months (They're Not Quadruplets)She wanted her kids to be close in age, but she got more than she bargained for when she got pregnant.by Rachel Perez .
Today in incredible pregnancy and childbirth news, we found out a mom gave birth to four babies in less than a year -- and no, they're not quadruplets.
Becky Johns, from Swansea, Wales in the U.K., always wanted to raise children who are close in age. After she gave birth to her daughter Mya in February 2015, she and her partner, Jason Evans, decided to try for one more so Mya could have a playmate. Their eldest daughter, Kayla, was nine years old at the time.
"We thought it might take a while for me to get pregnant, so we started trying straight away," she told Wales Online.

The couple, however, didn’t have a hard time all -- Becky got pregnant about a week after giving birth to Mya. And the ultrasound revealed she and Jason were having not just one more baby, but three!
"I had to stare at the screen just to make sure for myself. And I counted the heartbeats one by one. It was true I was pregnant with triplets," Becky shared. Family and friends thought the couple was joking even when they showed them the sonogram of their triplets. . When Becky went for an ultrasound, they found out they're having not just one more baby, but three.
Naturally conceived multiples are rare enough, but Becky’s was even more special. "Doctors told us it was the healthiest way to have triplets because they all had a placenta each. It meant there were no risks associated with any one of them sharing a placenta," she added.
Becky's pregnancy progressed smoothly, thanks to regular checkups and prenatal scans to check the babies’ growth progress inside her womb. At 34 weeks, she gave birth to triplets, Ryan, Phoebe, and Raya, via a scheduled C-section in January 2016. "I'd been carrying around nearly 15 pounds of babies. I couldn't believe it. But I was just so relieved they were all healthy and well," Becky said.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Ryan, Raya, and Phoebe weighed a little over four pounds each when they were born. They had to stay in the hospital for six weeks but were home with their family by March 2016 (they just celebrated their first birthday this past January while Mya is now 2). "It's a bit of a squash in our house now, but it’s all worth it," Becky said.
If the thought of having five kids is a scary thought, think of this family. Becky and Jason are raising a brood of five -- four of them are under 2 years old. It’s only going to get tougher, but the mom of five is optimistic. "Kayla is thrilled with her three new brothers and sisters, and it’s lovely to think that Mya and the triplets will grow up so close in age," she says.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
