  • On January 19, 2018, celebrity stylist Alyanna Martinez gave birth to her first baby, a daughter she and husband Roy Macam named Adalynn Riley. Since then, Alyanna has been sharing her little one's first few weeks of life. To celebrate her daughter's sixth week, Alyanna shared a video of her water birth, which was edited by her husband.

Alyanna was already in labor for 24 hours at home before going to GraceFull Birthing Center in Los Angeles, California. She went through her labor without any pain medication. At the birthing pool, it took 10 minutes to push her baby out. And the video captured the new mom being overwhelmed with emotions at that exact moment.

"It was a quick birth, but it was not easy. Every struggle, pain, challenge and months of preparation for this one moment washed away with the water, and [it] no longer mattered as soon as I held her in my arms for the first time," Alyanna wrote on Instagram.  "I would definitely do it all over again in a heartbeat just to relive that exact moment," she added.

Seeing his wife undergo unmedicated, all-natural water childbirth, Roy shared it was "the most powerful and magical experience" he had ever had the privilege to witness in his entire life.

"This event was truly a remarkable and wonderful journey, being a part of the birth and catching my daughter with my own hands is a moment you can’t put into words but just have to experience yourself," Roy wrote.

Roy also cut the umbilical cord and cradled her on his bare chest for skin-to-skin contact. He even dressed her up as his wife rested and recovered from childbirth. (In the video, you will also see the couple's "emotional support" dog, Chanelm, whom Alyanna said was present at all of her prenatal appointments.)
