If you are a parent of a toddler, chances are you have broken crayons at home, or entire sets of them.
A 2017 study shows that children start learning writing skills as early as three years old. One recommended way to let them practice, according to experts, is to provide them with large crayons, markers, or pens for better grasping.
However, parents in the Facebook group Smart Parenting Village are unanimous in their agreement when a mom posted about a uniquely shaped crayon that works wonders for her 4-year-old child.
Mommy Presh Jimenez shared, "Ayos pala 'tong waterdrop-shaped crayon na 'to."
She explained, "Legit na mahirap siyang baliin at talaga namang ginanahan magkulay yung anak ko. Parang designed talaga sya for toddlers dahil unbreakable, unlike 'yung mga pencil-shaped na crayon, wala pang isang araw bali na agad nila."
She added, "Washable and non-toxic pa! Sheeesssh! +100000000 talaga to sakin!"
Parents flocked to the comment section and agreed with Mommy Presh.
Mommy Maria said, "Ganyan din crayons ng toddlers ko."
Mommy Paula chimed in and said, "Legit talaga iyan. Tried my hardest just to try na mabali pero talagang matibay. Goods na goods!"
Mommy Gail, meanwhile, added, "Pati ung size nya has a purpose. Napa-practice 'yung malambot nilang hands to grip and control."
One mom, however, mentioned, "Alaws (wala) pa din 'tong talab sa batang mahilig magngatngat!"
It comes in sets of 12 or 24 colors and is a great gift idea for toddlers. The set of 12 crayon's price ranges from Php 100-200 only.

2. Coloring helps them feel relaxed.
The activity is therapeutic that's why adults have coloring books too! More importantly, it helps them express themselves.
3. Coloring helps them concentrate.
While kids tend to be easily distracted by gadgets, frequent coloring helps build a kid's habit to sit still and finish whatever they are working on.
4. Coloring enables language development.
When your kid's color, make it a point that you interact with them. It could be as simple as describing what they are drawing or narrating the colors they are using. It also pays to give them encouraging words while they color.
