Stock Up On Children’s Books At The Manila International Book Fair 2023

If you're a bookworm, by now, you would've heard that the Manila International Book Fair 2023 will be on September 14 to 17 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay. They also recently announced that entrance to this year's fair is free.  As we draw closer to the big day, more information is coming your way. To help you make sense of it all and plan your strategy for the country's longest-running and biggest book fair,  we've compiled a handy guide. Here's all the information you're going to need to make the most of your Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) experience.

Here's your guide to the Manila International Book Fair 2023:

This year's Manila International Book Fair will be at the SMX Convention Center Halls 1 to 4. It will have a four-day run from Thursday, September 14, to Sunday, September 17. You can come as early as 10 a.m. and stay until closing at 8 p.m.

Expect lots of people and bring lots of patience, especially if you buy or visit from the more prominent exhibitors.

The event layout is still the same for those who've been to previous runs of the MIBF. You've got booths lined up in rows, some bigger than others, with their books or tech on display for you to check out.

Aside from the main exhibition area where the stalls will be, there's also a designated stage area on the far left for the pocket events. If you get hungry after all the shopping and activities, you can also grab refreshments at the food area on the far right of the entire hall.

 

 

Tickets to MIBF 2023

Entrance to the Manila International Book Fair is free, granted you register for tickets ahead of the event. To get your free ticket, all you have to do is register online until September 8.

 

 

Make sure to save a copy of the e-ticket and the resulting QR code, as this will serve as your pass to the event.

MIBF 2023 Exhibitors

Over 200 exhibitors are going to be at MIBF 2023. And if you're thinking, "Well that's a lot of local publishers and bookstores," don't worry. Aside from big-name publishers like Adarna Books, Summit Books, and PSICom; and major bookstores like Fully Booked, there will also be other items on display.

 

 

Exhibitors include book printers, foreign publishers, embassies, arts and crafts suppliers, artist groups, libraries, and many more.

There will also be booths for audio/video educational aids, games and puzzles,  software, digital solution providers, and other educational technology companies and supplies.

Events and Activities at the Manila International Book Fair

The Manila International Book Fair isn't just about hoarding books and getting the latest titles at the best price. Like in previous years, pocket events like talks, panel discussions, storytelling sessions for kids, and book signings will be included.

 

 

But the MIBF isn't just about bookworms and writers.
