'A Day At A Time': Jackie Lou Blanco's Bilin Is Her Daughter Ara Davao's Tattoo Design

On Jackie Lou Blanco's 59th birthday last February 11, 2023, the actress got a unique and heartwarming gift from her daughter Ara Davao. Ara, the youngest in the Jackie and ex-husband Ricky Davao's brood of three, got a tattoo of her mom's eternal bilin.

Ara shared how she put together her gift via Instagram reels she posted a day after Jackie's birthday. First, she asked her mom to jot down a phrase that would serve as a forever reminder or bilin.  Then, she had that reminder as design for the tattoo artist to copy.

"Happy birthday again to my best friend!" Ara captioned her post, tagging her mom. " Thanks for always reminding me to take it a day at a time. Love you Ma @jackielou.blanco."

Mom and daughter as best of friends

In an older post, Ara referred to her mom as her "twin" who still looks "forever young." She also mentioned what they do for adventure: "hiking, traveling or even just in the room watching teleseryes at night."

For her part, Jackie described Ara as her clingy "mini me." She explained in one of her posts, "Yes! mula pagkabata,laging nakadikit sa akin. Laging nakasunod, laging nakasiksik."

She went on telling her bunso: "Now that you are all grown up, maybe you don't follow me everywhere I go anymore, but I am happy and grateful you come to me for anything. That you value what I say and listen to Mama's advice."
