Moms Camille Prats, Marian Rivera Had Their Well-Deserved 'Me Time' At The Preview Ball 2022

What we're getting from their looks is that moms need to have some time off and not feel guilty about it.

What could have been a busy night at home with their kids became a night of people-watching and dressing up like art for celebrity moms like Camille Prats and Marian Rivera.

The two hands-on moms were among the celebrities and influencers who graced the Preview Ball 2022 held last August 31 at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Libis, Quezon City.

Marian, who is also among Preview's 50 Most Influential for 2022, strutted onto the pink carpet wearing a fully fringed fuchsia gown by Cult Gaia with matching Amina Muaddi heels. Her look for that night was worth P5M, according to a report by PEP.ph.

While the Kapuso royalty wowed the crowd, Marian just cannot keep the mom in her upon seeing Niana Guerrero, a YouTube creator, whom her daughter Zia loves.

Marian herself took a video of Niana giving a shoutout to her daughter as pasalubong that night.

In an interview with PEP.ph, Camille said that she was very excited to attend the Ball because it was the first big event she got invited in since the pandemic started. "Excited lang ako to be here to do some people watching. It's something different aside from motherhood na panay mga ganap ko." She added, "Masasabi ko na ito siguro yung me-time ko."

Hot single mama Denise Laurel also got all dolled up for the Ball and said she loved her "last-minute look." She wore an all-black frock styled by Jerald Ignacio.

In a recent interview, this mama of 11-year-old Alejandro said she's happy with her status. “I can go with my own flow, I can take care of my son the way I want to, I can be myself without any judgment. I’m so happy just being single, ayoko na ng sakit ng ulo!”

Nina Ellaine Dizon-Cabrera, body positivity champion and founder of Colourette Cosmetics, made it to the Preview's list under the category, The Advocates. The mom of two looked stunning in a Casa Moda gown by Mich Viray.

3 style tips that we are getting from these moms

1. Go all out.

Like Marian, Camille, and Nina Ellaine, they took the Ball as the time to be adventurous. Go big or go home, especially if it's been a while since your last night out. Who knows when you'll get dress up again?

2. Go for separates

Two separate pieces are always easier to wear again and more practical. Denise's black frock can definitely be worn again in another black and white event.

3. Go out of your comfort zone.

If you feel yourself always gravitating towards the same things, fashion is a fun way to change things up especially when faced with the monotony of parenthood and childcare.

Take a break before you break, mom

These moms are also reminding us that moms need breaks too. If you are not convinced, let's break it to you this way.

A recent study in the U.S. found that moms of kids age 5 to 12 work as a mom an average of 98 hours a week. That's like working two and a half full-time jobs at the same time.

So if you get the chance to get all glammed up for a night or two, take it. It's good for you and for the kids too. A happy, well-rested mom is the mom that they need.
