Since it launched in 2018, the “Big Bad Wolf Book Sale” continues to up its ante with every visit to the country. For its 2020 run, things get even bigger: 2 million books and 17,000 new titles at 50 to 90 percent off!
Just like the last two years, Big Bad Wolf will be partnering with Gawad Kalinga and donating 1,000 books to be distributed to different communities, barangays, and public schools in Mindoro. They will also be helping communities affected by the Taal volcano eruption in Batangas. At the fair, visitors will also be encouraged to donate books at the Red Readerhood corner, BBW’s corporate social responsibility arm.
This year, BBW has also collaborated with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) to foster a culture of respect for the copyright system while encouraging reading among Filipinos through accessible and affordable books. IPOPHL will be conducting activities at the fair to enlighten aspiring authors on how to maximize the value of their copyright works. They can even register and deposit their work at the IPOPHL booth and have it copyrighted!ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
