Back in February 2019, Disney teased us with a short trailer for Frozen 2, hinting that it would be a darker, more dramatic, but adventure-packed sequel. Now, they’ve finally released a full-length trailer that effectively hypes the film and fuels all our burning questions. It’s safe to say that come opening day, it won’t just be the kids who would be excited to watch this next installment.
Much like the teaser, this trailer opens with Elsa trying to cross a vast ocean. When she is engulfed by the waves, we see a glowing horse appear out of nowhere, staring intensely at the Queen before dissolving into bubbles. As Elsa bursts to the surface, the scene cuts into a new one, where we see Elsa and Anna being confronted by Pabbie, the wisest of the trolls from the first movie.
“Elsa, the past is not what it seems. You must find the truth,” he says cryptically, before telling her to “go north across the Enchanted Lands and into the unknown.”What other parents are reading
As the trailer progresses, it becomes clear that this sequel would be a quest for the whole gang to help Elsa discover the truth about her powers and where they come from, as well as to protect the kingdom of Arendelle from outside forces. Magic is heavily showcased, from burning forests to mystical runes. We also get a glimpse of new characters — giants, presumably living in the Enchanted Lands.
With this new trailer, Frozen 2 establishes its darker and more mature tone, showing that the franchise is “all grown up” like its audience. And fans are here for it!ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWWhat other parents are reading
