YouTube content creator Lincoln "Cong TV" Velasquez and his friends called Team Payaman just unlocked a new milestone this 2023: they left the Payamansion 2.0 and moved into their very own compound they called Congpound.
In Cong's vlog entitled 'Goodbuy' uploaded on January 22, the vlogger with almost 11 million subscribers revealed that they are moving out of their current place, where most of the Team Payaman members live.
"Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, January 14 is our last day dito sa Payamansion 2.0. Si Junnie, dalawa na yung anak, ang liliit ng kwarto. Si Boss Keng, manganganak asawa. Cong TV, family man. Nag-decide na kami, kailangan na naming maghiwa-hiwalay, guys."

"Kasi siyempre ang kailangan ng bawat pamilya dito, privacy na talaga," his brother Junnie Boy Velasquez added.
In true Cong TV fashion, there was drama before the reveal of their new place. There was this one scene that made the viewers cry when Cong came home to an empty Payamansion.
In the next scene, Cong woke up in their new home.
He went out and found his neighbors - his brother Junnie, brother-in-law Boss Keng, and then their other friend Yow.
"Naiiyak pa ako nung pinakita lahat ng kwarto na wala ng laman, mas lalo akong naiyak sa saya nung nasa Congpound na silaaa!" one user said.
In a vlog by Vien Iligan Velasquez, wife of Junnie Boy, posted 6 months ago, she showed the empty lot that would become the Congpound.
Their followers call their new milestone, "Tropa Goals!" If you've been following Cong, you know that they have come far - from Congdo to Payamansyon, to Payamansyon 2.0, and now, Congpound! All thanks to their good vibes and authentic content through the years.
Living near extended family has benefits
In a survey conducted in the US in 2022, more than half of the respondents, or 55 percent of American adults say they live within an hour’s drive of at least some of their extended family members.
Extended family members are children, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
Research shows that living near your extended family is linked to real-life economic impacts. Married women with young children may ask their relatives to care for their children while they are working.
It's also convenient to live near your family members because if you need stuff like extra onions for your dish or some over-the-counter medicine for your child, you can readily ask your family members.
Another benefit, according to Shikha Thakur, MBA of Mom Junction is that sharing becomes a habit, especially among children. If your kids and their cousins live next to each other, "sharing is caring" becomes a norm.
Disadvantages of living near extended family
According to a soon-to-be mom of two and a member of the Smart Parenting Village, she shares some disadvantages of living near your extended family.
"Sometimes you may not like what they are modeling to your child. If you're in a good relationship with them, you can tell them about it. Pero what if, hindi? Masistress ka. Sa amin okay lang kasi I can joke or be stern with my mom and siblings."
Nevertheless, it all boils down to pakikisama. The mom said things will get better if you or your spouse are willing to adjust with your extended family.
Finally, another disadvantage is that living near your family members would incur more costs, especially when there are celebrations like birthdays.
"You can't celebrate or treat yourself ng kayo lang immediate family. Kailangan laging for all. Pero ganon din naman sila sa amin," the mom said.
