Cong TV, Viy Cortez On Being New Parents: 'Dapat Pang-Long Term Na Lahat Ng Ginagawa Mo Ngayon

YouTube vloggers and entrepreneurs Lincoln "Cong TV" Velasquez and his partner Viy Cortez are working double-time in securing their firstborn Zeus Emmanuel or Kidlat's future.

Their son, who just turned one month, will be growing up in a very comfortable and spacious home, as shared by Viy on her Facebook page.

"Soon to rise. Pangarap ko ito, magkaroon kami ng sariling bahay ni Cong. Dito namin papalakihin si Kidlat. Thank you, Lord," Viy said. 

She shared three perspectives of their dream home designed by Tier One Architects. 

In the recent vlog uploaded by Viy on her YouTube channel, she and Cong TV talked about how parenting changed them.

"Lifetime commitment ba, hindi lang siya ngayon. Kumbaga yung pagiging nanay at tatay hindi yan natatapos sa 1 year old siya."

Viy said they became more responsible as individuals and as partners. "Dati, pwedeng pa-easy-easy, ngayon, mas gusto mo concrete yung plan mo. Yung direksyon mo sa buhay, gusto mo mas tama na kasi may aasa na sayo. Dapat pang-long term na lahat ng ginagawa mo ngayon."

Cong had this to say about parenting, "Lifetime commitment ba, hindi lang siya ngayon. Yung pagiging nanay at tatay hindi yan natatapos sa 1 year old siya."

Viy admits, "Sobrang dami kong binitawan," but she said having a child is worth it. "Na-e-enjoy ko na parang may tao na gustong-gusto ako lagi, may bestfriend, merong isang tao na di ako iiwan hanggang tumanda ako."

Aside from their earnings from being two of the most popular YouTube creators in the Philippines, the two are managing several businesses - a milk tea franchise, a skincare line, and a clothing line, among others.

Netizens are inspired by how Cong rose to fame from creating funny content on YouTube to becoming a father who is supportive of Viy's breastfeeding journey.
