We are in “crisis schooling” now. It is an unprecedented time for parents and educators who now have to work harder than ever together. The good news is people are stepping up and doing more than what is expected. We want to honor these men and women.
Together with Summit Original Videos, SmartParenting.com.ph launches the E-skwela 2020 video series that showcases how students, teachers, and schools adapt to changes during the pandemic. You can watch the first video here.
Celebrating National Teachers’ Month
This September 2020, we kick off National Teachers’ Month with something special for teachers who have gone the extra mile for their students. So we're excited to announce that Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) is teaming up with Smart Parenting for the #HeroTeacher campaign!
Every #HeroTeacher featured in the E-skwela video series will get a Php15,000 in-kind donation from GBF to continue with their advocacies. He or she also gets free training through the KaSaMa Teachers Community.
You can also nominate a #HeroTeacher! Just go to this link and fill out the form:

So, Edelyn Nicol, a high school teacher in Pacita Complex National High School in San Pedro, Laguna, exchanged her old projector for supplies to print learning modules and booklets for the kids who should be in preschool or kindergarten in her neighborhood.
Edelyn says she started the initiative to help motivate parents to help their kids learn at a young age.

Lalo na ngayon, wala kaming mga teachers, nag-a-assist lang po kami ngayon, hindi po naming totally matutukan ang bata,” she says. “Ang magulang po ang pinakamalaking parte ngayon sa development ng kanilang anak.”
Watch Edelyn's inspiring video below to find out how you can help the #HeroTeacher campaign and support her initiative.
A small amount can mean printer ink, a ream of bond paper, learning modules, and school supplies for our teachers and their young learners. Any donated amount will be pooled together by GBF and divided among our hero teachers.
