It's been 11 years since Marco Alcaraz and Lara Quigaman became husband and wife. They got married on January 1, 2011 in Canada, where Lara's family is based. A year and a half later, on July 8, 2012, they tied the knot once again, this time in the Philippines, around Tagaytay City.
The couple, who are both actors and share three sons, have evidently kept the fire burning. They leave clues on the secrets to their lasting and successful marriage on their respective Instagram accounts.
Marco, for one, shares what he calls #AsawaTips in his posts showing photos of him and is wife. He believes that #HappyWifeHappyLife, which is the other hashtag he uses in his posts.
In the latest, for instance, he said in the caption, "Dapat laging bagong kasal ang pag trato nyo sa asawa nyo para mas lalong tumamis ang pagsasama ninyo."
Here's another tip: "Submit yourself to your wives and you will have a happy marriage." That was actually part of Marco's anniversary greeting for Lara on January 1, 2022.
He also said, "Bago matapos ang araw na ito I wanna greet my gorgeous wife happy anniversary. Maraming salamat for loving us unconditionally. You are the perfect wife and mother.. im not perfect but Iahat ng sweldo ko sayo. Mahal na mahal kita."
Marco paid tribute once again to his wife on the occasion of Lara's 39th birthday on January 3. He first defined "The Real Essence of a Woman" this way: "A woman who is able to love and give herself up and sacrifice herself up to other people and being a good wife, mother, sister, daughter and a good friend to everyone."
Then he went on greeting his better-half a "Happy, Happy Birthday," and told her, "I love you so much. You are a blessing to me Kuys Noah, Tobin and Moses," referring to their their kids.
For her part, Lara has only gratitude for her husband. The 2005 Miss International told Marco in her anniversary post, "Thank you asawa ko for carrying me all these years. Totoo, kinikilig pa rin ako sayo... mahal kita."
