If there’s one thing we noticed that drives Saab Magalona and Jim Bacarro’s three-year marriage, it’s laughter. During our Mom We Love shoot at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, Saab and Jim showed us their magnetic chemistry — they could not help but break into a smile each time they looked at each other.
It’s a low-key, easygoing relationship that we witnessed not only during our shoot but also through their weekly podcast, Wake Up with Jim and Saab on YouTube. Each episode is peppered with Saab and Jim’s banter and they can easily keep up with each other’s jokes, sarcasm included. What we’ve noticed is when one speaks, the other listens.
It’s the kind of young love that makes you believe it will stand the test of time, especially after everything they’ve been through. (Saab shares her story on giving birth and raising their son, Pancho, here.)
“[Before Pancho] we were already best friends,” Jim shares previously in one of our articles. “With Pancho we’re so confident that this friendship is really meant for greatness. It’s meant for the long run.”

Saab adds, “Solid na ‘yung foundation namin before and now it’s really more of like, ‘Bring it on world!’”
They’ve had their share of challenges, so seeing settle into their new roles as parents (with a lot of joy) is heartwarming. Watch their video below for some fun, fast facts about their marriage — and try to keep yourself from laughing out loud!
