'MOMOL Interrupted' Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez Get Cozy But Parent Life Gets In The Way

Not all parents can boast of an Instagram grid as sexy as Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez's, but we sure know what it's like when parent life gets in the way of sweet moments with your partner. 

In a recent Instagram post Sarah captioned 'momol interrupted', the couple got their kissing mirror selfie photobombed by their sons Zion and Kai. The Gutierezes are currently vacationing in Tokyo and were in a museum when the photos and videos were taken. 

The second video shows Zion popping in his head to talk to dad Richard, who pauses kissing wife Sarah to speak to his eldest son. Later on both Zion and Kai squeeze behind each parent making their way towards the mirror, completely photobombing mom Sarah's IG-worthy shot. 

Friends and family loved the content nonetheless, with Lovi Poe, big sister Ruffa, niece Lorin, Yassi Pressman, and Jake Cuenca leaving comments laughing along with the couple. 

Why it's okay to be physical with your partner in front of the kids 

As we often tell our kids, actions speak louder than words. And experts say this is why holding hands, hugging, kisses between parents can create a positive effect on children. Parents are able to model what a healthy relationship looks like. 

"By making a daily effort to value one another in front of the kids you can teach your children important lessons about intimacy, conflict, and balancing work and home," writes David Code, author of To Raise Happy Kids, Put Your Marriage First. 

As a general guideline, always keep things G rated.

• Hold hands more
• Hug often and easily
• Praise your partner in front of the kids
• Keep saying 'I love you'
