In celebration of their 28th anniversary, Sharon Cuneta took to social media to share a heartfelt message for her husband, former senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.
The Megastar dedicated an Instagram post to Kiko last Sunday, featuring a carousel of their photos, some including family members.
"Happy 28th wedding anniversary to my 'Sutart,' 'neybor,' 'playmate,' number 1 fan, cheerleader—the best Dad to our children and the best husband," Sharon wrote.
She continued, "Though we've experienced some 'turbulence' in our marriage, and it hasn't always been easy being married to each other, we both know that WE are always worth fighting for."

"Happy 28th, my sweetheart! Truly, our 28 years is a testament that God is truly a faithful, miraculous, and healing God. I will protect you fiercely, fight for you with all my might, shield you from harm's way, cheer you on, care for you in all tenderness, honor you unfailingly and love you deeply and with all my heart now and for always," Sharon wrote.
For his part, Kiko quoted a line from Queen of Tears' lead character Baek Hyun Woo, saying: "I'm just a lucky man who married the love of my life."
The actress first met Kiko during her brother's wedding. The couple started dating in 1994. They got married two years later, and went on to have three children: Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.
The couple's second daughter, Miel, also honored her parents with a heartfelt letter and shared photos of them through the years.
Miel wrote, "The invisible string that brought you two together, some 28 years ago has spun new threads around my siblings and I, and will continue to spin until the time comes that I get to have my own kids and raise them with the same love you did me."
She also thanked her parents: "In a world filled with so much hatred and resentment, thank you for showing me that love always prevails. Thank you for teaching me how to love, and what it feels like to have it reciprocated."

The 'turbulence' in Sharon and Kiko's relationship
The 'turbulence' Sharon referred to in her post alludes to the ups and downs in her relationship with Kiko. Earlier this year, online chatter sparked when Sharon posted a photo of Kiko—his head cut from the frame—alongside her kids. She quickly deleted the post and later expressed regret over the impulsive act.
The incident prompted Sharon to reveal that she and her longtime partner were in the midst of a disagreement at the time. Despite their occasional conflicts, she clarified that they always resolve their issues.
