Andi Eigenmann Chose to Undergo CS Again to Deliver Baby Lilo

The “part-time actress, full-time holistic living-island mama” Andi Eigenmann, who recently revealed the name of her baby girl with partner Philmar Alipayo (Keliana Alohi Eigenmann Alipayo, or Lilo!), was thinking of trying for a vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC). But she decided on a C-section again to deliver Lilo.

“One day into week 39 of my pregnancy: I came to a decision of going for another C-section operation, in order to bring my second child into this world,” Andi wrote on Instagram.

Andie would have been considered a good candidate for VBAC since it had been seven years since she gave birth to Ellie via CS.

Even if it was her second time, the C-section wasn’t easier or any less scary. Andie was thankful Philmar and Ellie stayed by her side, which made it easier not to worry about the operation. “True enough, birth is beautiful no matter how it happens,” she added. “I couldn’t be any more grateful that our baby girl came out healthy and safe. I realize now that it’s what matters most.”

Andi was determined to have a healthier pregnancy this time around. She embraced her changing body but ate healthily and remained faithful to her promise to stay active as much as she can. 

Andi and Lilo are home from the hospital, but she admitted it hasn’t really sunk in yet that she’s already a mom of two. While she knows it won’t be easy to raise another baby, she basks in the precious opportunity to love and nurture her daughters.

“But I sure have been feeling all kinds of grateful for having these two beautiful souls in my life,” she wrote.

“Having Ellie changed my life and made it so much better. Having Lilo now makes me feel like I have come alive once again,” Andi said.  “I’m just so excited for the three of us!” she said.

Andi, Philmar, and Ellie “are super excited and happy to take on this new chapter of our lives!” In the photos, the couple shared, the mom of two is seen breastfeeding her newborn. Philmar also shared a video that showed how excited Ellie is to be a big sister, giggling as she cradled Lilo for a while before they headed home from the hospital.

While Ellie was out with her cousins, the new parents shared some snaps of their home life with Lilo. The little angel mostly slept and fed, and her parents took turns burping and changing nappies.

Philmar was doing his share of baby care as well. He had been adamant about not hiring a nanny for their baby. With Ellie, the two have an extra pair of hands taking care of Lilo.
