  • Little human beings have their own baby personalities. Usually, babies are more like either their mom or dad, and sometimes both -- just like Andi Eigenmann, and Philmar Aipayos’s daughter, Lilo

Everybody knows the couple met through surfing, a water sport and one which Philmar has won several awards for. The place they call home, Siargao, is surrounded by water. It's really no surprise that their daughter also loves swimming in the water, as shown by how much Lilo enjoyed hydrotherapy, a.k.a. baby spa

“It’s official: We’ve got another natural-born water baby! Takes after mom and papa!” Andi shared on Instagram.

The proud mermaid mama added that she “couldn’t help but be so proud” seeing her baby kicking and swimming in the water. Andi revealed it's Lilo's first time in a pool without her or her dad.

“Now I can’t wait for summer on the island where the fam can spend all day in the ocean!” the mom of two exclaimed. Andi's older daughter Ellie also loves the water. They often go swimming or head to the beach before they had settled at their island home.

    Lilo’s relaxing baby spa experience

Andi shared she also had a blast watching Lilo so comfortable in her element. “It was also so surprisingly relaxing to watch her get a massage,” she said, adding that she needs one herself.

Lilo also got to do baby yoga before her water spa experience.

Lilo also had to take a quick bath, too, just like how it should be before swimming in a pool or jacuzzi, as Andi wrote.

At first, Lilo Looked unsure, but hearing her mom's voice encouraging her to move, she quickly became comfortable in the water.

The benefits of hydrotherapy or water spa

The mom of two highly recommends baby spa. Andi revealed that Lilo “had such a wonderful time” at BeBe Lavie, one of the two baby spas in the metro. For its owner, Jun Chua, water education and spa can help the babies grow healthier and happier.

Laura Sevenus, a former competitive swimmer and coach, developed the concept of hydrotherapy for babies and founded the world’s first Baby Spa in London. According to her company’s website, the spa helps supports babies’ mental and physical development essential to the ability to move with control and act with purpose on land.

“The more your baby can use his/her brain and muscles, the stronger they will grow,” according to Sevenus’s Baby Spa website. It also promotes babies to feel comfortable when they're not with their parents. (Click here to know more about hydrotherapy's benefits.)

Andi also noticed, “It really puts them in a good mood afterward, among other perks!” She revealed that Lilo just woke up from the “best nap ever” after her trip to the baby spa. That's a good thing for mama!
