Andi Eigenmann’s second vlog on her Youtube channel is just over a day old but it has already racked up almost a million views and more than 4,000 comments. Many netizens agree, Andi is doing her kids good by letting them live a simple life.
“This is the life I’m dreaming of ... yung totoong meaning ng happiness, being contented at being grateful,” one commenter wrote.
“This is so refreshing. So glad Andi is happy now [with] her provincial life,” said another.
“I love how Ellie is enjoying her childhood. It’s refreshing to see that she is living her life as a normal child.”
“I admire your courage, Andi — courage to be and do what you really want in life!”
In the video, Andi shared how she spent the last day of 2019 with her daughters Ellie and Lilo, and Philmar, her partner.
Their little family of four rode a boat to Daku Island, one of the beautiful places to visit in Surigao del Norte. “It’s Lilo’s first time to go to Daku,” Andi noted.
In Daku, they feasted on fresh catch including shellfish, giant squid, fish, and shrimp. There was kilawin, pancit, fresh watermelon, and lots of rice and they all ate with their hands from banana leaves in boodle fight fashion. They drank buko juice straight from the shell (using straws made out of coconut leaves).

Ellie frolicked and played on the beach with the kids from the island, while Lilo slept, just enjoyed the warm sunny weather and provided the giggles. Before sundown, they were back in Siargao.
To stay awake while waiting for the new year, Andi, Philmar and Ellie played pool with their friends.
“Was so happy that Ellie overcame her shyness to play and joined in our game of pool even with other people watching!” Andi wrote on her vlog.
“We fell asleep but still woke up in time to watch the fireworks.”
They spent the first day of 2020 swimming and enjoying the quiet island life.
