Chesca Kramer Mourns Mom: 'You Chose Us Over Anything'

Chesca Garcia-Kramer confirmed her mother's passing on Tuesday, calling the moment an "awful time." She penned a touching letter addressed to her mom on Instagram and shared a carousel of family photos. Her mom, Celeste Velasco, lovingly called Bing, died at 70.

The celebrity wrote, "I will miss you so much, Mommy. I love you dearly! I am grateful for all the precious days I spent with you. You were there for all the important events in my life, and you were also there just to hang out, relax, and talk about anything and everything under the sun. I will miss those moments, Mommy!"

She also recalled her mom's sacrifices for their family. "You sacrificed so much for us, always prioritizing our happiness over yours. You chose us over anything and anyone, never abandoning ship and fiercely protecting your cubs," she wrote, referring to herself and her siblings, actor Patrick Garcia, and their eldest brother, Pichon Garcia.

"You can never outgive a parent who keeps on giving. I know this because I have been blessed to experience it. I love you, Mommy. I love you so much. I will always long for you," Chesca concluded.

Celeste Dahlia "Bing" Velasco's Passing

Chesca's husband, Doug Kramer, also posted a tribute for his mother-in-law on his Instagram.

"When you look at [Chesca], she's a complete reflection of her mom. Our momsy. Beautiful inside and out!" he wrote. "I'm so thankful she guided and molded Chesca the way she is, because our kids take a lot from their mom."

Doug also looked back on their family's Europe vacation with Celeste, saying they're happy to have granted their Momsy's dream trip. He then appealed to the public to give their family time to grieve.

"We'll miss you so much Momsy!" he said. "The best mom-in-law anyone could have! The OG, the coolest Grandma, the funniest, and one who never runs out of chika because she knows all the issues on Facebook."

Meanwhile, Chesca posted a photo of a Bible verse on her IG stories, which gives her hope amid bereavement.

She wrote, "I will never forget this awful time as I grieve over my loss, yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!'"

The celebrity mom's friends and followers sent their prayers and condolences. Bing's remains will be interred at Arlington Memorial Chapels on Araneta Avenue, Quezon City on April 23. The memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26.
