We Love That Ciara Sotto Threw Herself Two Birthday Parties! It was time well spent as Ciara celebrated with all her family and friends.by Rachel Perez .
Moms, we should all take a page from actress-singer Ciara Sotto when it comes to me-time or self-care. The single mom threw herself two parties to celebrate her birthday last July 2.
The pole fitness instructor, who dressed with a fascinator, picked a great venue, The Manila Peninsula, for her first party with an afternoon tea party theme. We love the venue's natual light!ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Ciara's second party was held together with her fitness friends. "So I had another party, and I am so happy I got to celebrate with my friends who have been part of my fitness journey and my life," Ciara wrote. "Thank you to my pole babes, co-teachers, yogi friends, theatre friends, and my new friends!" she added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
It has been three years since Ciara's split with husband Jojo Oconer, and she has expressed her desire to move on as a solo parent.
She stressed in an exclusive interview with Pep.ph that having alone-time is essential to reflect, recharge, and replenish energy.
"That's when you appreciate yourself more. That's when you reflect on the stuff that you've done, reflect on yourself," she said. "Dun mo maiisip na what you could do better, what could you improve on or what could you lessen on doing," Ciara explained.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
For moms in particular, me-time is crucial. "Kasi parang mabu-burn out ka din na inaalagaan mo lang yung baby mo the whole day. Nagpapa-alipin ka, minsan parang boss na rin yung anak mo, parang ganum," she explained.
When was the last time you had a party to celebrate you, mom? Remember, you cannot give what you don't have, so don't forget to have some love for yourself, too, mom!
