Parents Can Pursue Free Online Education With UP Open U

2025 is shaping up to be a promising year for parents’ personal growth and career development, especially with the University of the Philippines Open University’s (UPOU) announcement of its 44 free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for the year.

According to UPOU, the online courses are self-paced and “designed to help [everyone] grow [their] skills and credentials.” Anyone can enroll and complete the courses, regardless of their location. E-certificates will be issued to those who complete the courses, which can be included in their resumes as a 16-hour training course.

How to Enroll in UPOU’s MOOCs

For those who don’t have a Massive Open Distance eLearning (MODeL) account:

• Fill out the registration form.
• *Accounts are created in batches every Thursday, with weekly cut-offs every Wednesday, 4pm. Requests received after the cut-off will be processed the following week.
• Sign in to your account once you receive your account details.
• Change your password.

Using your MODel account, you can now self-enroll in any of the courses.
