  • After publicly sharing about their behind-closed-doors reconciliation, mom-of-five Jackie Forster is proud and genuinely happy to have the opportunity to reconnect and build a relationship with her older sons, Andre and Kobe Paras

"I haven’t been as excited as I was last night for a date night," Jackie wrote on Instagram. "Mama was so kilig to have such a handsome date. Guwapo and bait talaga ni Kuya @andreparas—all grown up paying for our movie and my coffee," she said. "My heart is so full," she added.

Everyone, from family and friends, to random social media followers, has expressed their love and support, and also rejoiced as the mom and her two sons reunited after 12 years of disconnect. Since then, they've been sharing on social media how they're making up for lost time.

Apart from having a movie and coffee date with her eldest, Jackie was also able to watch her basketball star son Kobe play the game he loves.

The happy turn of events started in January with a surprise phone call Kobe made to Jackie, while he was based in the U.S. playing collegiate basketball. Jackie was in London, and, out of her desire to see her son again, she flew to Los Angeles to visit Kobe in February. (You can read more about it here.)

Jackie's firstborn, Andre, was, of course, in the loop about his brother trying to patch things up with their mom, and he has also had a few Facetime sessions with Jackie, too. But Andre wanted to reconnect in person, Jackie said in an interview with Pep.ph, which finally pushed through when he and Kobe met with Jackie in Manila over the weekend.

On sharing the good news, the newly reunited trio stressed that they're done talking about the past and want to move on in peace. Jackie also asked everyone to respect her older sons' privacy. "We have shared so much of our personal lives with everyone, and we want to take this time to heal and bond," she wrote on Instagram.

While in the U.S., Jackie was able to spend time alone with Kobe for the first three weeks. Before going back to London, her husband Michael and their three young kids, JaredCaleigh, and Yohann flew in to meet Kobe for the first time.

"The night they met, from the moment they all ran to hug Kuya Kobe for the first time until we walked to the car and restaurant agawan sila who will hold Kuya’s hand!" Jackie wrote on Instagram. The youngest, Yohann, is most clingy to his big brother, she shared.

There was also nothing awkward or forced about Kobe playing Kuya, shared the mom of five. On Kobe's Instagram Stories, he shared a photo of him with his younger siblings. "Kids next door," he wrote.

Kobe also posted a throwback photo of his young self with his mom.

Another Instagram Story Kobe posted was a picture of him and Jackie looking like they dressed up alike for a photo shoot. "I got it from my momma," he wrote, referring to their fashion sense and style.

Probably the boldest move Kobe has done since the reconciliation was writing a comment on the first photo of him, Andre, and mom Jackie, which the latter shared on Instagram. "I love you, Ma," he wrote with the happy and kiss emojis. He also changed his Instagram account name to spell out his middle surname, Forster.

Jackie shared a forward-looking post on Instagram, with four of her five kids with her in the photo, captioning it, "One day soon we will have one with Kuya @andreparas too ❤️ How great is our God!? I can’t thank you all enough for the prayers!"
