Here’s How To Join Smart Parenting’s #SPParenthood100, A Photo Contest Featuring Moms and Dads

In 2023, Smart Parenting launched its first ever Smart Parenting Motherhood 100 Photo Contest, showcasing the raw, real, and beautiful moments of mothers from various walks of life.

From pregnancy and birth to breastfeeding, playing with their children, working from home, and preparing endless meals, the SP Motherhood 100 in 2023 offered a glimpse into the diverse experiences of motherhood.

This 2024, Smart Parenting is excited to launch Smart Parenting Parenthood 100. This campaign aims to celebrate inclusive parenthood by featuring the everyday heroes of parenting: Moms and Dads.

The photo contest invites participants to capture the unfiltered and genuinely beautiful moments of parenting. Whether it’s a powerful image of a father-daughter bond or a candid moment of a mother playing with her son, we want to see it all.

A picture can paint a thousand words, and sometimes words fall short of capturing the essence of parenting. Through Smart Parenting Parenthood 100, we aim to showcase the real face of parenting–the challenges, the mess, the sacrifices, and above all, the unconditional love.

What’s in it for you?

The subjects and photographers of the top 10 photos will be featured on Smart Parenting's website, social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Youtube) and Summit Network's out-of-home LED billboards in C5 and Robinson’s Cebu.

In addition to these incredible exposure opportunities, a total cash prize of P200,000 will be awarded. Each winning team will receive P20,000, with P10,000 going to the photographer and the remaining P10,000 to the parent/subject of the photo.

Winners will be announced separately for Moms (Mother’s Day, May 12, 2024) and Dads (Father’s Day, June 16, 2024).

How to join Smart Parenting Parenthood 100:

Eligibility

• This contest is open to all Filipino photo enthusiasts aged 18 years and older.
• Open to Filipinos with an active bank account in the Philippines under his/her name.
• Employees of Summit Media and Smart Parenting Parent Squad members may participate, except for SmartParenting.com.ph employees and their relatives.

Photo Specifications

• The theme for this year’s photo contest is “Parenthood in its most raw and authentic form.”
• Participants may submit between 1 and 5 photos.
• Photos must be the contestant’s original work, not previously entered in any other contest or published for news, advertising, or other purposes.
• Photos should be in JPEG format, portrait or landscape, with an aspect ratio of 4:3, a minimum resolution of 1280x720 px, and 300 dpi.
• Entries should be in black and white and must not contain date stamps, watermarks, or any text.

Submission of Photos

• To enter, participants must register and submit their photos online via the Parenthood100forms.
• Contestants will provide the photo title and description, along with the names and relationships of the subjects.
• Smart Parenting will accept submissions only through the online form. Entries via other methods will not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified.
• Photos taken before 2024 are eligible, provided they are the original works of the contestants.
• The submission period runs until April 15, 2024, 7:00 PM UTC +8.

Criteria

40% - Content and Relevance to the Theme

• Does it capture the essence of the theme or offer a unique perspective?

30% - Creativity and Communication of the Image

• How original and innovative is the photo?
• Does it convey a clear message or emotion?

30% - Quality and Overall Impact

• Does the photo leave a lasting impression and inspire further reflection or engagement?
• Is the photo free of technical flaws?

Terms & Conditions

By entering, participants grant organizers and sponsors the right to use the photos for promotional purposes such as on websites, social media platforms, and print materials, crediting the photographer whenever possible. Participants must agree to these rules and accept the decisions of the organizers and judges. Attempts to manipulate the contest will lead to disqualification.

Entries are accepted from April 8 to April 15, 2024, until 7:00 PM UTC+8.
