Joyce Ching Gives Birth To First Child

Joyce Ching and her husband, Kevin Alimon, are celebrating the arrival of their first child, a baby girl they fondly call Hawhaw. 

The actress shared the news on Instagram on October 26, posting photos from the hospital in which she’s seen cradling her newborn. 

“Our firstborn is finally here,” Joyce wrote in her post. “We love you so much, our little Hawhaw. Thank you to everyone who prayed for us.”

Meanwhile, proud father Kevin posted a snap of him with Hawhaw on his Instagram story.

Family and celebrity friends congratulated the new parents, with Rodjun Cruz commenting on the post, “Congratulations sa inyo @chingjoyce, welcome to the world Baby Girl.”

Rita Daniela added, “CUTIE BEBEEE WAAA CONGRATS PARENTS,”

Bea Binene wrote, “Omggggg congratulations Alimons!!!! I hope to meet you soon, baby Hawhaw!!!” while Carla Abellana and Barbie Forteza also sent warm wishes.

The couple, who married in December 2019, announced Joyce's pregnancy in June, marking an exciting new chapter for their growing family.

Joyce Ching's Pregnancy Journey

In her YouTube vlog uploaded in June, Joyce shared how she and her husband discovered her pregnancy in March, describing it as the “longest month” they had ever experienced. She mentioned that her period was five days late when she took a pregnancy test.

When the test only showed a faint line, Joyce decided to try again the next day. “Hindi ko alam kung maiiyak ako or matatawa ako,” she said, admitting, “Hindi ako makaiyak nang buo kasi faint line lang. Bukas ulit paggising.”

After seeing another faint line on the second test, the couple visited an OB-GYN, but they were told it was too early to confirm anything. Joyce explained, “Parang medyo meron pa ring parang half-half pa rin kahit nag-positive na sa pregnancy test ng urine,” as the doctor indicated that further development was still needed for a conclusive result.

She underwent another ultrasound, but it again revealed nothing definitive. Then, on March 26, Joyce and Kevin finally received confirmation. “The baby is here! We are seven weeks and three days pregnant,” Joyce happily announced at the time.
