Luka Doncic may be one of the biggest stars in international basketball today, but he certainly has a big heart for his fans.

On the evening of September 8, following the electrifying 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup game between Slovenia and Italy, his last game before leaving Manila, Doncic gave an incredible core memory to a Pinoy family, one that they will cherish forever

On Instagram, Prince Rivero and his wife Lesley Martinez shared how the 24-year-old Dallas Mavericks forward gave their son his TCL Player of the Game trophy.

Rivero is a former PBA player who currently plays for Quezon in the MPBL, as reported by SPIN.ph.

As fans of Doncic, the couple mentioned that they were able to watch all three of his games while he played for the Slovenia national team. During these games, they brought with them a huge banner that read, "LUKA, we named our son after you." On the third and final game, they brought their very own Baby Luka and carried a variation of their banner, which read, "LUKA, I was named after you."

Apparently, Baby Luka is the grandson of actor and comedian Leo Martinez. In an Instagram story, the proud grandfather beamed, saying, "Binigay ni Luka Doncic ang trophy niya sa apo ko," and tagged his grandson's Instagram account, whose full name is Luka Vicente Paolo Martinez Rivero. Baby Luka just celebrated his first birthday on August 3.

Baby Luka's mom is Leo's daughter with wife Gina Valenciano Martinez, sister of Gary Valenciano.

Kris Bernal watches Luka Doncic game, less than a month postpartum

On September 6, actress and new mom Kris Bernal also watched Doncic's game at the SM Mall of Asia arena with her husband, Choi Perry. Their daughter's name was also inspired by Doncic.

"Naglihi ng malala kay Luka Doncic during my pregnancy. Our baby's name, Hailee Lucca, inspired by Luka Doncic," the actress wrote.
