Celebrity Maxene Magalona, daughter of the late rapper Francis Magalona, recalled cherished memories with her dad in a recent interview, when the conversation turned to her past experiences.
"My favorite memory is when he would pick me up from school in Katipunan, and we would drive going back to Antipolo just the two of us," Maxene said fondly.
The actress also recalled how, during their drives home, the Master Rapper, would share nuggets of wisdom.
"He would talk to me about 'yung trabaho namin, that we shouldn't look down on other people just because we're on television. He made sure na naintindihan ko 'yon, that we were not more special or more important, na lahat tayo'y pantay-pantay. And this is what he would sing about in 'Kaleidoscope World,' right?" Maxene said.
Last year, Maxene shared a throwback video of her father rapping freestyle with her during a car ride.

Maxene also shared advice from her dad that stuck with her throughout the years: "People will not remember what you said or what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel."
"He has that energy where he allows you to be yourself and he holds space for you," she said, adding that Francis did this because he knew what it was like to be judged from being in the spotlight.
"He knows the feeling of being looked at and pointed for your flaws, but then he wants to be that person that 'I'm not gonna judge you 'cause I want to make you feel what it's like not to be judged,'" she added.

Maxene's dad, Francis, also lovingly called Kiko, passed away in 2009 due to leukemia. Some of his hit songs include "Mga Kababayan," "3 Stars and a Sun," and "Ito ang Gusto Ko."
Last March, Maxene paid tribute to Francis on the 15th anniversary of his passing. A self-proclaimed daddy's girl, she also released a stripped-down version of the Francis M classic "Kaleidoscope World."
