There are new celebrity dads in town! Basketball star Scottie Thompson's wife Jinky Serrano has given birth to a baby boy, while singer Daryl Ong and his wife Dea Formilleza have welcomed their own baby boy.
Scottie, who was named most valuable player in the most recent season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), took to Instagram on May 6, 2023 to announce the arrival of his and Jinky's first child.
"My two warriors!," he wrote in the caption of his post showing a photo of him with his wife and their son who was born on May 5. "Thank you Lord for giving my wife enough strength to deliver this 8lbs little angel. Everyone, meet SCOT ALYSTAIR THOMPSON!"
Back in January, the shooting guard for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel team in the PBA announced that they would be parents for the first time (read here). Three months later, they shared a video of the gender reveal party announcing a baby boy's on the way for them, and then came some snaps from Jinky's maternity shoot (read here).
On the other hand, Daryl Ong shared the good news of Dea's safe delivery of their first child, a boy they've named Arlan Dominik back in April 2023.
In another post, Daryl shared a photo of his wife while going through water birth and getting assistance from her mother. "Kaya alam kong magiging mapagmahal kang ina," he said of Dea, dahil mahal na mahal ka ni Mama."
He went to expressing his gratitude to his mother-in-law: "Sobrang salamat sa pag support sa panganganak ni Dea emotionally, spiritually, at physically, lahat ng kayang gawin ng isang nanay para masiguradong ligtas ang anak ay ginawa niyo k Dea."
Daryl also paid tribute to his late mother: "Sana nakikita mo kami at ang iyong apo na ipinangalan namin sayo si Baby Arlan."
