Actress and TV host Pokwang, whose real name is Marietta Subong, called out her former partner, American actor Lee O'Brian, on Instagram as she demanded child support for their six-year-old daughter Malia.
The actress commented on Atty. Bernice Piñol-Rodriguez's Instagram Reel, in which the latter discusses the right of single moms to demand financial support from their ex-partners, even if their child is over 18 years old.
"Grabe, thank you [Attorney]. Napakalaking tulong. God bless you po," Pokwang wrote.
About a week later, Pokwang returned to the Instagram post and fired shots against Lee. She called him out for allegedly partying and golfing with other women, then pressed him to provide child support for their daughter.
Article 194 of the Family Code states that "support comprises everything indispensable for sustenance, dwelling, clothing, medical attendance, education, and transportation, in keeping with the financial capacity of the family."
As of this writing, Lee O'Brian has not publicly responded to Pokwang's comments on the post.

Pokwang and Lee O'Brian's Relationship
Pokwang and Lee, who had been in a relationship for about six years, welcomed their only child, Malia, in 2018. However, in July 2022, Pokwang confirmed their amicable split. A year later, the celebrity broke her silence and revealed the real reason behind their breakup, eventually filing a deportation complaint against him.
The actress further claimed that her estranged partner had been using a tourist visa even when he had been staying in the Philippines for the past eight years. Among her complaints against Lee were financial abuse, intimidation, and abandonment of Malia. Pokwang won the case in December 2023.
In turn, Lee issued a counter-affidavit, but the Bureau of Immigration (BI) released a decision in the same month ordering the actor's immediate deportation.
Despite the lawsuit, Pokwang allowed Lee to be with their Malia, prioritizing her daughter's happiness. The comedienne also revealed that Lee had shown a genuine willingness to be involved in Malia's life.
Pokwang supported co-parenting efforts with Lee and even let Malia and her other daughter spend time with him in the States.
