Saab Magalona's Baby Boy Graduates From NICU!The little cutie looks so happy he's going home.by Rachel Perez .
Last Easter Sunday, April 1, the new mom shared the first photo of her baby boy, Pancho Gerardo. The little cutie was smiling in the picture Saab Magalona shared on her Instagram. After almost two months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Baby Pancho was finally strong and well enough to go home.
"Graduated from the NICU yesterday!!" Saab wrote as a caption for a photo of her and her son together with the nurses that cared for him in the NICU. "We’re very happy to leave but sad to say goodbye to Pancho’s wonderful, hardworking, and sweet nurses," she added. "Thank you for believing in him. [My husband Jim Bacarro] and I will forever be grateful for you all!!!"ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
Saab shared the happy news via Instagram and on Twitter, where she told followers to zoom in on Pancho's face. "He looks so happy," she wrote.
Pancho Gerardo was born on February 8, but his twin sister Luna Isabel didn't make it. According to his mom, he has become a little warrior, fighting to survive many complications and surgery.
Baby Pancho's name comes from Saab's late grandfather, Pancho Magalona (who was a popular actor in the late 40s and the father of Francis Magalona) and Jim's father, Rey Gerardo Bacarro.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
His grandmother Pia Magalona also posted a photo of her cradling her newest apo, calling Pancho her "newest baby."
Saab also retweeted a post from one of Pancho's godmothers and Jim's sister. "Moving Up Day for our little bundle of joy. Ninang can’t wait to spoil you silly, little Panchito Burrito."ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Pancho coming home also prompted other moms whose babies were or are still in the NICU to congratulate Saab. On April 2, Saab thanked moms from Facebook groups, especially those with preemie experience.
