Mama of two Solenn Heussaff just revealed Baby Bolz #2’s name and they weren’t kidding about naming her after Lionel Messi.
“December 14, the birth of our second daughter Maëlys Lionel Bolzico,” wrote Solenn on Instagram.
A quick Google search tells us Maëlys is a French name that is the feminine form of Maël, which means “chief” or “prince”. Lionel comes from Argentian football player Lionel Messi, whom Nico Bolzico was celebrating on the day of their daughter’s birth because it was the same day Argentina qualified forthe World Cup Finals held in Qatar.
Looks like they weren’t kidding when Nico said her second name is Lionel!

Minutes after Solenn shared baby’s name, #ElPadre couldn’t help himself. He explained “how he could name his daughter Lionel”.
“A lot of people that just watched Solenn’s video is asking me how I could name my daughter Lionel? The reason is I need her to feel Argentinian. She feels so French already because she’s our second daughter,” Nico said.
In case you didn’t get that, he’s poking fun at France finishing second at the recent World Cup finals, of course next to Nico’s team, Argentina.
We can always count on Nico to bring the humor in every situation! Second to none. (See what we did there?)
Lionel is a name of Latin origin that means “little lion”.

Congrats again, Solenn, Nico, and Tili! Can't wait to see more of Maëlys Lionel!
